About Dr. Rob Roy
I have been providing psychological services since 1985. I have worked as a front-line practitioner, as a clinical supervisor, and as a regional mental health manager. I have been actively involved in the development of public service policy and governance. I have worked in civil and forensic psychiatric settings in Canada and in the United States. I have worked with inpatients and outpatients. For many years I provided psychological services for BC Corrections and for the Correctional Service of Canada. I have also been active in private practice - first as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and now as a Registered Psychologist. In my private practice I provide a range of general clinical services. I also specialize in Sport and Performance Psychology.
I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2005. I have been registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia since 2008. I am a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.
I am listed in the Psychologist Directory of the British Columbia Psychological Association. I am also listed in the Practitioner Directory of SportMed BC.
After almost thirty years within the Public Service, I am devoting my full attention to the private sector.
